ArchitectureUnbuilt
Dream-catcher, an architectural marvel designed to conquer the challenges of Siargao's typhoon-prone environment. With a concrete frame and water-collecting roof, it withstands extreme winds while providing security. The lightweight polycarbonate panels endure high-strength winds, fire, and temperature extremes. Divided into three structures, it reduces wind load and offers clean water and solar power reserves. The south side holds potential for a community garden. Inside, visitors are greeted with warmth, panoramic sea views, and adaptable open plazas. At night, the translucent panels emit comforting light, symbolizing security and community. Dream-catcher is a flexible platform embracing Siargao's dreams, culture, resilience, and peace.
